IX Brazilian Congress of Legal History

Which forms does law assume in political ruptures? In which ways can Law be an instrument of keeping or altering the order? Without losing its methodological rigour and depth in primary sources, the IX Congress of Legal History will have as its central theme the forms Law takes in times of crisis. Having been 190 years since the founding of Schools of Law in Brazil, 80 years since the promulgation of the Constitution from November 10 th , 1937, 50 years since the 1967 Constitution, the academic objective is to discuss the role, positions and places taken by lawmakers and Law itself in times of ruptures and transformations.
